Honda Civic Tourer

The space inside the Tourer defies its dimensions

This British built masterpiece delivers distinctive styling, versatility, practicality and an abundance of technology. But not only this, it delivers an incredible amount of space as well high fuel efficiency and low running costs

Its high level of fuel efficiency can be put down to the frugal 1.6 i-DTEC engine, plus a host of innovative fuel saving technologies such as Eco Assist™ and Idle-Stop, which offers 120ps of power, whilst still delivering 74.33mpg combined, which gives a range of 817 miles on one tank of fuel, with CO2 emissions starting from 99g/km.

An abundance of space

Even though the new Civic Tourer is the lowest and most compact estate in the segment, and only 235mm longer than a Civic Hatch, the new Tourer delivers a class leading 624 litres of boot space. To put this space into perspective, that’s enough to fit four golf bags, or three large suitcases and two flight cases. And that’s all without dropping the back seats down. Making use of the Magic Seat system, unique to Honda’s, the rear seats can be pulled down create a flat load area with 1,668 litres of capacity up to the roof lining. Easily enough room to accommodate two full-sized mountain bikes with the front wheels removed.

With this abundance of space, Honda developed the new Adaptive Damper System (ADS), a world first in a production car. The ADS automatically adjusts the rear suspension damping force to ensure optimum stability and comfort in varying load and driving conditions.
