The campaign, which hit screens in July 2013, featured everyday items that had been given the vRS treatment.
Under the tag-line ‘Not your average family car” the stars of the ad included a giant pram, outsized lawnmower and most famous of all, a monster ice-cream truck.
All were created to highlight the remarkable performance of the new Octavia vRS – the fastest production ŠKODA ever.
The 21ft high ice-cream truck proved so popular with viewers that ŠKODA toured the country with it, serving free ice cream as part of its Octavia vRS launch activities.
The Car Dealer Power Best Manufacturer Marketing initiative Award is voted for by readers of Car Dealer magazine – the UK’s leading retailer and trade publication.
