SEAT has published the first pictures of its new Alhambra, capable of seating up seven people including full-sized adults even in the third row. SEAT says its new model will have sliding doors with optional electric operation – and that unlike the old model, the rear seats can be folded away inside the vehicle when they are not in use. The newcomer provides luggage space of 885 litres, extended to a wardrobe-swallowing 2,297 litres if only the front seats are in use.

New engines include a 148bhp TSI petrol and two TDI diesels, one delivering 138bhp, the other 167bhp. The new Alhambra also gets the “park/steer assistant” which helps manoeuvre it into tight parking spaces. Standard safety equipment includes seven airbags and electric child locks on the rear door. ABS and ESP are standard.

SAFETY FOR THE MOST VALUABLE CARGO Long trips and routine rides with the kids in the back seats are both lovely experiences. Although, sometimes distracting and a little tiring. Luckily, the Side Assist technology of the New SEAT Alhambra helps you prevent involuntarily drifting out of your lane, while the Tiredness Recognition System recommends you take a break when it detects signs of fatigue.
