And, should you find your car needs a little TLC to pass its MOT, nearly all repairs can be carried out the same day onsite, with our trained MOT testers running through the repairs required beforehand for you to agree.

We don’t just look after your car whilst it’s going through its MOT, we look after you too. At every one of our MOT centres you’ll find a comfy waiting lounge where you can browse the web, check your emails or even do a bit of work using our complimentary Wi-Fi.
Also, if you’re having your vehicle serviced at the same time as the MOT test, you can take advantage of our full range of helpful alternative travel arrangement services, from a lift into town, through to provision of a courtesy car or our drop off and pick-up service.
What is an MOT?
An MOT (Ministry of Transport) test is a legal requirement which requires that every vehicle in the UK, 3 years old or more, must be tested each year to ensure that it complies with the minimum road safety and environmental standards.
What’s covered in an MOT?
An MOT test covers a wide range of components on your car and is designed to confirm that at the time of the test your vehicle has passed the minimum level of acceptable road safety and environmental standards (as far as can be reasonably determined, without dismantling the vehicle.

How much is an MOT?
Currently, an MOT on your car is £54.85. If your car fails the MOT and the required work is carried out by us before you take the vehicle away, the retest will be free, subject to terms and conditions. For further details on costs, please contact your local Listers dealership.
