Mr Kenneth Brown 12th October 2012
After running my 3 litre Diesel BMW for 12 years from new I recently decided that a change would be good. The design of the Honda Civic had often caught my eye and with my respect for Japanese engineering this was the first car to look at. I came to visit your showroom and was looked after by Simon Atcheson. He first listened attentively to and understood my requirements before we discussed how the Civic could meet my needs.
I was certainly impressed enough to take a test drive which included a brief visit to my home to check that a long item which needed to fit in the car would do so. I was moving steadily towards a buying decision when a good friend of mine showed me round his newly purchased Hyundai I30 and strongly recommend that I should take a test drive and get a quote. I was very impressed with the Hyundai and a saving of about £2000 was attractive also but went back soon after to look at your Civic again and concluded that I liked far more. Being UK built also makes me feel better.
Having spent 30 years selling capital equipment for a living (now
retired) I may not be the easy to sell to in some ways. However Simon always kept his cool and we worked together to agree a deal that I was very pleased with.
Having now taken delivery of the car I can say that although its so very different to my old BMW I am even more pleased with it than I expected as are my wife, friends and family.
So thanks to Avonvale Honda staff and in particular Simon Atcheson for making my car change a pleasant experience with excellent outcome.
