My Audi A2 BL02 LDC let me down on Christmas Eve with a misfire problem and other strange mechanical noises. I turned up at your dealership on 27 December at 8am without an appointment and was dealt with by Ross Scimeca at 8.05am who quickly sorted things out and suggested I could wait while a diagnostic check was carried out.
Within the hour the problem was diagnosed as a faulty coil but unfortunately there was not one in stock. Amazingly, the technician dealing with the car (Simon?) had a spare in his own car and was prepared to instal it to get me on my way pending the arrival of a new one. Truly amazing service and thought from a member of your staff! The mechanical noise was thought to be an alternator pulley which would also have to be ordered in.
I decided to leave the car and collect it the following day when all the repairs had been completed. Mr Scimeca called me on the 28th to say the coil had been fitted and despite road tests and extensive searches the noise seem to have disappeared and did not require any repairs.
He also sorted out my warranty claim from the RAC. It would have been very easy to fit the alternator pulley to ensure their suspicions were resolved. I write to thank you for the excellent service I received from all your staff, from Pat and Jenny at reception through to Ross and especially the concern shown by your technician responsible for the repair.
My compliments to you for the training your staff have received and for the attention to detail shown by all.
