The ŠKODA Kodiaq aims to impress: the wide, three-dimensional radiator grille gives the Kodiaq a striking presence.

Those familiar with ŠKODA trim levels will instantly recognise the S, SE and SE-L options while two diesel engines and three petrol’s will be available initially.

Both diesels are 2.0-litre units, producing 150PS and 190PS respectively. The 150PS engine officially averages 56.5 mpg (combined) and emits 131g/km of CO2.

There are two 1.4-litre petrol engines, one producing 125PS and the other 150PS (with the latter available with clever cylinder shutdown technology, and one 2.0-litre petrol (180PS). The entry-level 1.4 averages 47 mpg (combined) while emitting 140g/km of CO2.

Staying true to ŠKODA’s ‘Simply Clever’ Philosophy, customers will be able to choose between 5 or 7 seats. The focus is on delivering value for money, the most interior space in class and more technology than ever seen before in a ŠKODA, such as an electrically operated tailgate that can be operated by waving a foot under the rear of the car.

Other technology highlights include the choice adding an 8.0” touchscreen with Bluetooth, and supports Apple CarPlay Android Auto and MirrorLink, satellite navigation, parking cameras, Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless phone charging, traffic jam assist and adaptive cruise control.

For towing, when fitted with a diesel engine, the DSG gearbox and 4 wheel drive, the Kodiaq can tow an impressive 2.5 tonnes.
