Having not purchased a car from a main dealership before I was very relieved that there was no high pressure selling. Those who I dealt with with very caring and considerate to my requirements as well as being user-friendly and giving me time to consider the various options.
I had complete trust and faith in David Hyde, the salesman I have dealt with around 20 years. He is a top professional with a depth of unique experience.
After I had ordered the car, I sold my house in Spain which coincided with the estimated delivery date of the car. I wanted to take the car to Spain and it arrived in England a week before the handover. However, for some reason it was held up at the docks and Listers said it would not be ready on the date promised. However, because I had booked the car on the ferry, hotels etcetera, I put pressure on them to get the car before I was due to leave for Spain. The garage said they would drive themselves to collect car from the docks. In the event it was delivered on Tuesday 7th April and handed over on the 8th. I had to change the ferry and hotels etcetera until the following Sunday, which caused me inconvenience but Listers offered me compensation for the cancellations I had to make. I have to say that Sophie Fallows, the sales lady and the Manager Matt Huntley went out of their way to go the extra mile and more to help me out of the predicament which was not of their making but caused by some blockage at the port of entry in the UK. Great customer service, for which I am very grateful.
The lovely showroom, it’s modern and clean and gives a great feeling of space. The staff were very good and my salesperson David Hyde was very pleasant and had a very good knowledge of the product he was selling to me. I really enjoyed the handover, the car was covered and I was allowed to uncover it myself, which was really cool. I’m looking forward to returning there when I upgrade my fantastic little Polo to a Golf or Tiguan.
