On Sunday 30 June, staff from Listers Jaguar and Land Rover held the second charity fete on the picturesque hills of Spernal Farm. The fete was in aid of our chosen charity, the Midlands Air Ambulance.

JLR Fete

It was a beautifully British summer's day, with over 400 staff and their families and friends attending.

Everyone took part to help organise and run an array of traditional fete attractions, from ‘Splat the Rat’ to ‘Hammer of Strength’ and the good old fashioned ‘Coconut Shy’.

There was something for everyone - we had air guns and clay pigeon shooting for the adults - with a spectacular prize donated by one of our great customers, Ian Coley, and for the children we had a treasure hunt, tractor rides, a steam engine, archery, bouncy castle and a photo booth (to name just a few)!

The generously staff gifted tombola was a roaring success with over 250 prizes to be won. All of this was brought to life by a fabulous hand turned fairground organ and our very own town crier.

The impressive BBQ and bar set-up was hand built by our Director, Anthony Hope (left)

Cakes were made for the staff bake off, local strawberries and cream, candy floss, popcorn and ice cream. A number of competitions were held, including Listers Crufts for our furry friends, egg throwing and the tug of war which was won by the mighty Droitwich team.

We’re pleased to announce that we smashed our target and raised twice the amount from the previous fete - a total of £2,421! Sending a huge thank you to each and every one of our staff, family members, friends and customers for their generous help and support.

“The money generously raised at Listers JLR Family Fete is greatly appreciated and will help to fund a lifesaving air ambulance mission. This will make a big difference not only to our service, but to those who are in critical need of our specialist care, so on behalf of our patients, their families and friends, thanks goes to everyone involved.” - Jon Cottrell, corporate development executive for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
