BMW announce model changes for summer 2020.

BMW have introduced a number of model changes which are active across the range from summer 2020. The main change made is the addition of 48-volt mild hybrid technology across the range – this will help to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. From July onwards, the technology will be used in 51 models, including 6cyl diesel engines in BMW 7 Series, BMW X3, BMW X4, BMW X5, BMW X6 and BMW X7 models.

BMW are delighted to announce two additional engine variants will join the 2 Series Gran Coupé range from July. A new entry-level diesel engine and an additional all-wheel drive model variant are available for the sporty, elegant four-door model.

A new 218d Gran Coupé features a 4cyl, 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 350Nm of torque and 150hp, and a new BMW 220d xDrive Gran Coupé delivers 190hp and maximum torque of 400Nm.

BMW Operating System 7

Operating system 7.0 now standard in 3 Series models.

BMW Operating System 7 will be standard across all BMW 3 Series Saloon and Touring models from summer 2020. Previously only used in conjunction with BMW Live Cockpit Professional, the system offers extensive individualisation and personalisation of the content shown on the Control Display.

In the BMW 1 Series and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, BMW Operating System 7 will also be part of the optional BMW Live Cockpit Plus from July 2020.
