Adaption advice

Not all adaptions are suitable for every type of vehicle, that's why it's so important to consider the adaptions you require.

Our team of advisers are on hand to guide you through which vehicles best suit the adaptions you may require, as well as provide contacts for Adaption installers if you need expert impartial advice on which adaptions are best for you.

We'll guide you through the adaption process, building in the adaption requirements as part of the order process, this way your car is delivered with the adaptations fitted and the best bit is that when arranged at the start of your lease, some of the most popular adaptations come at no extra cost.

Are you eligible?

Could you or a person you know be one of the 1 million people who qualify for Motability but are not on the scheme?

The scheme is open to anyone who receives one of the following and has at least 12 months’ award length remaining at the point of application:

  • HRMC DLA - Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance
  • ERMC PIP - Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment
  • WPMS - War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement
  • AFIP - Armed Forces Independence Payment

If you are unable to drive you are still eligible to apply for a vehicle on the Mobility scheme with a named driver.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I learn to drive in my Motability car?

If you're eligible to join the Motability scheme, you can learn to drive in your Motability car at the age of 16. Any other drivers with provisional licences must be over 21 if you want them to drive your car, and you can only have one learner driver on your certificate of motor insurance at any one time.
