Tim Clarke awarded Gold Pin for services to Volkswagen
Tim Clarke, Listers Banbury Manager, has been recognised for his work over the last decade.
He will receive the prestigious Volkswagen Gold Pin in an award ceremony and presentation on March 22 2013, to be held in the Natural History Museum, London at the Volkswagen AG Commendation Awards as part of the 'One Business Awards'. As part of the evening Tim and his wife will be accommodated in London's new Corinthia hotel.
Robert Hazelwood, Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars wrote to Tim with the good news in January.
Background
Tim Clarke started with Listers on October 1 2001 as a Technician at Volkswagen Stratford.
Shortly after, Tim volunteered to train as a Master Technician to work on the newly announced Phaeton and Touareg prestige models.
After 18 months of intensive training including long spells away from home, Tim attained not only Master Technician status but also that of Licensed Technician.
Fast forward another 18 months and Tim was promoted to Workshop Foreman/Controller at
Volkswagen Stratford, where he remained for six enjoyable years.
After completing further bespoke training courses within Listers, Tim was offered stewardship of the Banbury Škoda and Volkswagen Service Centre, to manage the newly acquired site which opened October 2011.
Tim and his team have since improved the site's national ranking from near the bottom of the scale when Listers took over, to a top 20 position within 18 months.
It is due to Tim's effort over the years and fantastic performance at the Banbury centre that he is awarded the Gold Pin. Congratulations!
