Receiving text messages from Listers

We send automated and personalised communications to customers from various systems. You can use the information on this page to find out more about them.

From time to time, we'll send you text messages directly from our systems to help make sure that you're kept up to date about important things that relate to your vehicle, or products and services you've purchased for your vehicle.

Automated messages you'll receive from us

You will automatically receive vehicle servicing and MOT reminder text messages unless you opted out when contacting us. You can opt out of these by following the instructions in the first message you receive from us, which will involve sending the word STOP to 65408, or another number within the message.

Unless you've opted out globally, we'll always send you a text message to confirm the following appointments:

  • When you book a test drive, we'll confirm the date and time of the appointment.
  • When you've purchased a vehicle from us, and we're arranging the handover appointment for you to collect your vehicle, we'll confirm the date and time of the handover.
  • When you book a service or MOT with us, we'll confirm the date and time of your booking.

Manual messages from us

From time to time, our staff may send text messages or have conversations with you through text messages, through our systems. You can opt out of these messages by replying with the word STOP.

If you don't want to receive any text messages from us

If you've already opted out globally by updating your contact preferences, you won't need to do anything, though under our legitimate interests, we may still need to send you a message from time to time to comply with our legal or contractual obligations.
