With 302 hp, the all-wheel drive ENYAQ will be able to go from 0-60 in an impressive 5.9 seconds, then onto a limited top speed of 112. All of this can be achieved with no CO2 emissions, meaning BCH lease agreements are expected to be very appealing - with estimates under £400 per month in fact.
The sloping coupe like roofline from the striking Vison iV concept from 2019 has been retained and will seat 5 comfortably, meaning the KODIAQ will remain as the only 7 seat Škoda in the range. Higher spec ENYAQs are expected to feature all-wheel drive performance thanks to a system of two electric motors, one on the front axle and one at the rear. Premium versions are expected to be powered by an 83kW battery with A/C and rapid D/C charging capabilities. Less powerful, rear driven single motor derivatives are almost certain to be included in the range.
Inside you can expect to find a huge central touchscreen system with the Virtual cockpit system positioned in front of the driver, as per the recently announced Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4 but with a bespoke Škoda operating system and housing. Lots of new tech is also expected such as an intelligent voice command system, potentially the capability to remotely turn on features like air conditioning and heated seats from your smartphone before you even get into the car and recuperation that harvests energy under braking to extend range.
Being an all-electric vehicle, the ENYAQ will benefit from being exempt from road tax in its first year of registration. Your Sales Executive at Listers Škoda can also arrange for a free home site survey to be undertaken to establish the best place for your home charging unit and a second free visit post installation for a hands on demonstration on how to use it.
Production of the Škoda ENYAQ is expected to begin in late 2020. It is the Czech brand’s first series-production vehicle in the series of more than ten electric models that will be launched under the Škoda iV sub-brand by the end of 2022. By 2025, Škoda expects all-electric vehicles and models with plug-in hybrid drives to account for 25% of sales.
