BMW has just revealed launch pricing and specifications of the new iX3, BMW’s first fully-electric SUV, ahead of its summer 2021 launch.
Customers will be able to choose between the iX3 Premier Edition and BMW iX3 Premier Edition Pro, both offering a significant level of standard equipment over and above the current X3.

Exterior colours.
The BMW iX3 Premier Edition and Premier Edition Pro will be available in Carbon Black, Mineral White, Phytonic Blue and Sophisto Grey metallic paints, and a choice of Brushed Aluminium or Black High Gloss exterior trim. 20” Black aerodynamic wheels, automatic tailgate, adaptive suspension and panoramic sunroof complete the exterior look of the BMW iX3 Premier Edition.
Interior.
Vernasca leather seats arrive as standard and in a choice of four colours. Sensatec dashboard, sun protect glazing, ambient lighting and electric seats are offered as standard within the vehicle interior, enhancing comfort and style.
Additional standard specification.
Additional standard features include wireless phone charging, heated front seats and BMW’s very latest driver assistance technology, including Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant and BMW Live Cockpit Professional.
Premier Edition Pro.
Additional standard features for the Premier Edition Pro include BMW Head-up Display, Harman Kardon surround sound, Gesture Control, Parking Assistant Plus, Automatic high beam assistant, Comfort access and Lumbar support. BMW IconicSounds Electric, developed in collaboration with Hans Zimmer, completes the extensive offering.
Pricing.
The BMW iX3 is now available to pre-order with deliveries starting in summer 2021. Pricing starts at £61,900 for the iX3 Premier Edition and the iX3 Premier Edition Pro starts at £64,900 OTR.
The latest generation of BMW eDrive technology.
The new BMW iX3 represents the next stage in the group’s electrification strategy and is the first core model to feature the technological expertise that has been amassed from the previous i models.
The new model features the fifth-generation BMW eDrive high-voltage battery technology which generates 80kWh of energy to provide a mileage range of up to 285 miles. The newly-designed electric motor produces a maximum output of 285hp, peak torque of 400nm and a 0-62mph acceleration time of just 6.8 seconds.
BMW IconicSounds Electric makes its debut in the iX3. This is a newly developed soundscape for electrically powered BMW models and adds extra emotional depth to the driving experience.
The BMW Charging Card provides simple and convenient access to over 30,000 public charge points in the UK. The new flexible fast charger and high-output wallbox are optional extras that will provide the optimum charging solution. Recharging from 0-80% takes 34 minutes and a 10 minute charge adds 62 miles of range.
There are a few new features on the BMW iX3 above the standard X3 model, including the new aerodynamic 19” alloys with a drag-reducing design. Standard specification on the new model includes metallic paintwork, LED headlights, three-zone automatic climate control with pre‑heating and pre-conditioning, automatic tailgate operation, panoramic glass sunroof, Driving Assistant Professional and ambient lighting.
