You may have been offered a complimentary Vehicle Health Check (VHC) when you previously had your car in for a service, MOT or repair work; but what does this check include?
Also referred to as a visual health check or electronic health check, a VHC is a comprehensive check of your car’s components, carried out by a trained Technician. It is not mandatory, but is offered by all of our workshops alongside a repair, service, MOT or even individually – free of charge.
Your vehicle’s safety is of upmost importance to us, which is why we offer this free additional service for your peace of mind. The series of checks ensure your vehicle is safe and legal for the road, and generally take about 15 minutes to complete.

The trained Technician carrying out the report will guide you through the checks by video, which will be sent to you via email to help provide a better understanding of the checks being made and the condition of the car.
Our workshops will never carry out work without your approval, which is why in the event of a component needing to be replaced, you will be informed on the day and advised by the technician on how’s best to proceed. Some components may have wear but aren’t necessary to replace at the time, in which case we’ll inform you but take no action.
In the event of a component needing to be replaced, we will first ask for your permission and then do everything we can to get it replaced on the same day. Most vehicle parts are available on-site, although if a part needs to be ordered in we’ll most likely be able to carry out the work the next day. In this instance, we will either arrange a courtesy car or try our best to offer a lift/collection service.
