Škoda OCTAVIA Hatch and Estate models named top of the class

Two honours at the 2021 UK Car of the Year Awards add to an already impressive collection of awards for the fourth-generation Škoda OCTAVIA. Both the Hatch and Estate models were named as top of the class in their categories.

In one of the most fiercely contested categories, the OCTAVIA Hatch was praised for it’s all-round ability and named Best Family Car 2021. UK Car of the Year Awards judge Alex Robbins said “In terms of fitness for purpose, the OCTAVIA is probably the best car I’ve driven all year. OCTAVIAs have always aced practicality, but with its coupe-like profile and plush interior, this new one’s genuinely desirable too. It wafts over bumps in a manner more akin to a big luxury car. It hits the spot perfectly.”

Equally impressed with the estate version, the judging panel honoured the OCTAVIA Estate as top of the class in the Estate Car category and praised the unbeatable blend of practicability and value for money. Judge Matt Robinson said, “This model is as big on the inside and as crisply styled on the outside as ever. On a long motorway run, the OCTAVIA Estate is simply imperious. Still as great value as it ever was, this is the family wagon that everyone should choose, first and foremost.”

These new titles only add to the already extensive lists of titles won by the new Škoda OCTAVIA since its launch last Spring, including the Car Buyer Best Family Car and Estate, WhatCar? Best Plug-in Hybrid and Estate and 2020 Auto Express Car of the Year.
