The SEAT Ibiza and Arona have both been key drivers of success for the brand, with the SEAT Ibiza selling almost six million vehicles since it was introduced to the market and becoming the best-selling model globally. Both models are now being redesigned and will feature new advanced technology, enhancing their already compelling elements.
The SEAT Ibiza hatchback was introduced in 1984 and has since established itself as the most successful vehicle to come from the SEAT brand. The latest model will have an evolved design and a significant technological upgrade, bringing a new level of desirability to the current model.
The SEAT Arona urban SUV arrived in 2017 and quickly became the second best-selling SEAT model globally in 2020. The Arona will be enhanced with upgrades to new safety technology and a more robust exterior, allowing for a greater off-road character. The new model includes a new look for the cabin and a more developed digital eco-system.
The President of SEAT and CUPRA, Wayne Griffiths, said, “The SEAT Ibiza has been a cornerstone of the brand’s success, with close to six million vehicles sold over its five generations, while the SEAT Arona is a clear pillar in the range, being the second most sold SEAT model last year”.
“The updated models add to the vehicles’ incredible attributes to deliver an even more complete offering whilst refreshing the cars’ design.”
The world premiere of the SEAT Ibiza and SEAT Arona takes place on Thursday 15th April at 09:00 GMT.
