Škoda ENYAQ iV earns five stars in Euro NCAP test.

Škoda’s first fully electric SUV has achieved excellent results in a series of safety tests of the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP). The ENYAQ iV scored high for passenger protection, with 94% of the maximum points attainable for the protection of adults and 89% for the protection of children. When these figures are included into the other areas tested, the overall score is an impressive 86%, ranking the ENYAQ iV in the top group of vehicles for safety.

The new Škoda ENYAQ iV has an impressive nine airbags which include a central airbag between the front seats for extra protection. With numerous state-of-the-art assistance systems in place, the vehicle alerts the driver to potential collisions in various situations.

The vehicle includes Front Assist for pedestrian and cyclist protection, Side Assist and Rear Traffic Alert, Turn Assist, Collision Avoidance Assist and Exit Warning. These integrate with a variety of other safety systems such as Adaptive Lane Assist, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist. There is also an option to have a head-up display which incorporates augmented reality for the first time in a Škoda model.

Founded in 1997, the European New Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) conducts crash test on current vehicle models and evaluates their active and passive safety. Over recent years, the tests have been made more stricter and now include various collision scenarios.
