BMW is due to set a new precedent for driving pleasure with the new BMW 2 Series Coupé. The new vehicle epitomises sporting prowess with a strong focus on dynamic excellence, an athletic design, powerful engines and sophisticated chassis technology. The all-new model will be launched at the beginning of 2022.
The new BMW 2 Series Coupé is a modern take on the traditional concept of a compact, performance-focused two-door model. With optimised aerodynamic properties, an intelligent lightweight design and almost perfectly balanced weight distribution, the new BMW 2 Series Coupé provides the driver with extremely sporty handling.
The new model will boast an eye-catching front-end design featuring individual headlights in BMW 02 style and a new-look BMW kidney grille, which will feature vertically arranged active air flaps rather than bars. It will have a sporty and graceful silhouette composed of crisp lines and surfaces sculpted for a muscular feel, including pronounced wheel arches to give the rear and powerful appearance.
The vehicle will come with 17-inch light-alloy wheels as standard, 18-inch M light-alloy wheels with the M Sport specification or 19-inch M light-alloy wheels with the option of high-performance tyres. In addition, there will be a driver-focused cockpit design with a modern control panel in the centre console and the option of a fully digital display grouping. Sport seats and Sport leather steering wheel come as standard, with M leather steering wheel and M Sport seats with integral head restraints available as options.
The model variants to launch include the BMW 220i Coupé, BMW M240i xDrive Coupé and BMW 220d Coupé.
