BMW has launched a programme to support plug-in hybrid drivers. The BMW Points programme is designed to reward customers for driving electric and maximising the efficiency of their car. For every electric mile, the customer earns two points or double points in an eDrive zone. The incentive also provides drivers with twenty points when their vehicle has been charging for at least 15 minutes. The points are exchanged for free charging - 14,500 points provides drivers with a £50 charging credit. Points are automatically logged on the My BMW App by the vehicle.
eDrive zones are available in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Liverpool, Bath and Manchester. The vehicle will be powered exclusively by electric within the eDrive zone and the App will have the locations integrated into the Points scheme.
The incentive is available for those who own a BMW 330e, BMW 530e, BMW 545e, BMW 745e, BMW X3 30e (produced from August 2021) and BMW X5 45e drivers with BMW Operating System 7.0.
