Mercedes-Benz EQS
The new Mercedes-Benz EQS is like an electric version of the latest S-Class and rivals the Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT. The EQS can sprint from 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds and will have an outstanding range of up to 453 miles. Mercedes-Benz is also working on an AMG performance version of the EQS. The all-new Mercedes-Benz EQS will go on sale in summer 2021 with prices starting from around £80,000.

The first all-electric Gran Coupé combines next-level performance with modern comforts to deliver an outstanding driving experience. Equipped with 5th Generation BMW eDrive technology, the BMW i4 offers a range of up to 365 miles. The BMW i4 will go on sale in November 2021, with prices starting from £55,345.

CUPRA Born
CUPRA will soon release their first 100% electric car, inspired by the city of Barcelona. This sporty electric vehicle not only contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions, but also uses recycled marine litter on the interior. The Born will be available in a range of battery sizes with a range of between 211–335 miles, depending on the battery size. The CUPRA Born is set to launch at the end of 2021 with prices starting from around £33,000.

Mercedes-Benz EQB
The Mercedes-Benz EQB is set to rival the Audi Q4 e-tron. The top-of-range four-wheel-drive EQB 350 4MATIC will be the first variant to hit the UK, with full details on the rest of the range yet to be revealed. Final performance figures have not been confirmed, however, the initial EQB model will have a 0-62mph time of around 6 seconds and a range of up to 260 miles. The Mercedes-Benz EQB will go on sale in late 2021. Pricing is still to be confirmed.

Porsche Macan EV
Porsche is adding to its electric car line-up with the electric version of the best-selling model, the Macan. The electric Macan will arrive in 2022 and initially be a high-performance model in the mould of the Taycan, carrying the same Turbo badging to identify it as the top-of-the-range version. There is no official information on the new electric Macan, but it is expected to be launched in 2023 with an estimated starting price of around £70,000.

Toyota bZ4X Concept
The Toyota bZ4X is Toyota’s new battery electric vehicle (BEV) set to be released in 2022 and will be the first model in the bZ series. It’s an SUV BEV jointly developed with Toyota’s partner, Subaru, taking advantage of the strength of Toyota, which boasts expertise in vehicle electrification - and Subaru, which has outstanding AWD technologies.

Volkswagen ID. Buzz
The Volkswagen ID. Buzz is a huge step forward for sustainable commercial driving. The ID. Buzz is expected to have a range of up to 340 miles with a top speed of around 99mph – just like the ID.3 and ID.4. However, a four-wheel drive, dual-motor model is expected too. The ID. Buzz will be packed with cutting edge technology, including a Level 4 autonomous driving system. The steering wheel will be replaced with an intuitive touchpad. The all-electric campervan and commercial vehicle are set to arrive late in 2022, with the price point still a mystery.

BMW iX3
BMW are about to release their second fully electric car. Essentially, it’s the electric version of the brand’s best-selling model, the X3, which will launch you from 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds and has a range of up to 285 miles, as well as a top speed of 112mph. Innovative technologies such as brake energy recovery, help to extend the range and reduce energy consumption. The order books are now open, with prices starting from £61,900. Audi Q4 e-tron
Available in two body styles, the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron are Audi’s first compact, fully electric SUV’s that are surprisingly spacious. Strong and precise lines give it an assured and sophisticated presence. There is a choice of powertrain variants including the 35 e-tron, with a range of up to 208 miles and the 40 e-tron with a range of up to 316 miles. Featuring the Audi all-wheel-drive system, the 50 e-tron quattro delivers a range of up to 298 miles.
