CUPRA is continuing its roll out of electrified vehicles, with the introduction of an all-new SUV to take on the competitive compact SUV market.
The electrified SUV will convey CUPRA's dynamism, performance and elegance thanks to its striking exterior. The new model will be available with different powertrains, including mHEV (Mild hybrid) and PHEV (Plug-in hybrid) versions, with new generation PHEV technology giving it a range of around 62 miles in all-electric mode.
The new SUV will be around 4.5m long, allowing both the design and engineering teams to develop a vehicle that incorporates the essence of the CUPRA brand, whilst offering the perfect proportions to be highly competitive in the popular A-segment.
This new electrified SUV is expected to be key for CUPRA, as SEAT expects the performance brand to spearhead its global sales activities. Wayne Griffiths, CUPRA and SEAT boss said at the model's unveiling:
“We wanted to show you today that this model will become reality and it is an electrified SUV with hybrid and plug-in hybrid technology. CUPRA is not the end of SEAT: it gives SEAT a future. The future is electric, and the future is CUPRA.”
