A milestone moment for OMODA and JAECOO as they attend Goodwood Festival of Speed for the first time.

On the 11th of July 2024, JAECOO made its first public European appearance with a stand at Goodwood Festival of Speed. The new premium off-road brand brand was officially welcomed by His Grace, the Duke of Richmond at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Goodwood Festival attendees were treated to the dynamic debut of the brands first model, the JAECOO 7, as it effortlessly took on the iconic 1900-metre hill climb in the capable hands of former 1960’s F1 racing driver, Richard Attwood.

The JAECOO stand was shared with sister brand OMODA who showcased their flagship model, the all-electric OMODA E5. Models from both brands were star attractions, hosting hundreds of visitors all keen to be among the first to see the new models in the metal.

The JAECOO 7:

Premium, elegant and practical. Designed to appeal to the on- and off-road driver, the JAECOO 7 combines rugged power with a refined interior to create a premium and elegant, yet capable, off-road package.

Available in both front- and four-wheel drive configurations, it is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine and features seven driving modes, enabling drivers to travel effortlessly over most terrains and in all conditions. The JAECOO 7 will also include a PHEV drivetrain, with a target EV-only range of 60 miles.

The JAECOO 7 is anticipated to arrive in late 2024 / early 2025.

The OMODA 5:

Featuring a 186 PS 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, the OMODA 5 has been designed to stand out from the crowd. Its dynamic fastback shape combines influences from avant-garde art with a functional form. Inside, the car features two 10.25-inch high-resolution screens, multi-colour interior lighting, wireless phone charging and a full suite of ADAS safety technologies.

The all-electric OMODA E5 is powered by a 150 kW (204 hp) electric motor and a 61 kWh battery. Optimised aerodynamics help with class-leading noise reduction and low drag, helping it offer a WLTP range of 257 miles.

First UK deliveries of the OMODA 5 will begin in late July 2024, with the OMODA E5 set to follow in early September 2024.
