From driving style, road conditions, to weather, there's a lot that can affect the wear of your tyres. Regular tyre checks can help ensure that you don’t encounter any serious problems.
Your tyre pressure should be checked regularly and always before starting a long journey. See your owner’s manual or the sticker near the driver’s side door frame to see the correct pressure for your car.
Keep an eye out for cracks, bulges or objects lodged in the tread, or sidewall of your tyres. If you identify any of these, take your car to your local Listers Honda dealership to be checked.
If your tyres are wearing more on one side than the other, your wheel alignment might need adjusting. Bring your Honda into your local dealership and our trained technicians will put it right.
The lower the tread, the longer your stopping distance will be – especially in wet conditions. If the tread depth is less than 3mm the tyre should be replace in order to maintain the best performance and road safety.
The minimum legal requirement is 1.6mm across the middle 75% of the tyre at any point. Any less and you could be faced with a £2.500 fine and 3 penalty points per tyre.
