Global sales of Lexus SUVs have surpassed the five million mark this summer. A milestone figure that has been achieved since the first LX model was launched in North America.
Over 89,000 have been sold in the UK, with the RX model named as the most popular throughout – with over 3.1 million sold worldwide since its launch in 1998. The launch of the RX L in 2018 has also helped to boost that figure.
Today, all new Lexus SUVs sold in the UK have full hybrid electric powertrains and this year, Lexus enters a new era with the initial roll-out of the UX 300e – its first battery electric model. Scheduled for launch in the UK early in 2021, this new version of the UX will add a further dimension to the SUV range.
