Lexus has strong start to awards season.
Starting 2021 on a positive note, Lexus have been recognised two-fold in the recent WhatCar? awards; with the brand being named as the most reliable car brand for the second time, and the Lexus LC 500 Convertible awarded the best luxury soft-top title.
Once again, the WhatCar? Reliability Survey has identified the Lexus brand as the most reliable, according to a survey of almost 13,000 UK drivers. This acknowledgement builds on the success of the survey last year, which also came to the same conclusion, that the brand is committed to delivering excellent cars that stand the test of time as well as exceptional customer care.
Ewan Shepherd, Director of Lexus in the UK, said: “Our reputation for reliability is not something we take for granted, it’s a quality we are constantly working to improve. This is particularly true as we introduce a new generation of vehicles in our Lexus Electrified programme, led by the new UX 300e. The technology in our first battery electric vehicle may be new, but we expect it to be as reassuringly reliable as our hybrid electric models.”
Not only has the Lexus brand been recognised as reliable, its second award showcases the quality you would expect from a luxury Lexus model. Keep scrolling to find out more.

Lexus LC 500 Convertible named Britain's number one luxury convertible.
Lexus' success in the WhatCar? awards continues, with the V8-powered Lexus LC 500 Convertible being named the best of its kind.
The model itself takes inspiration from the Lexus LC Coupe, but is a model in its own right, with its 457bhp V8 engine, aerodynamic styling and performance, handling and ride that envelopes the driver in ultimate comfort and luxury.
What Car? Editor Steve Huntingford said: “The LC Convertible is a delightful car to spend time in, because its swooping interior is trimmed in gorgeous materials, and you hear next to no wind or road noise. When you give it its head, though, the car transforms from a tranquil grand tourer into something that feels surprisingly playful, while its powerful V8 engine makes a terrific noise.”
