Dear Mr Callow,
I have just completed an on-line survey regarding my last visit to Listers VW Stratford two weeks ago and it has prompted me to write to tell you about the excellent service received from your Service Advisor - Tom Hall.
My car was in for an MOT but failed initially with a slit in one of the front tyres. Also, a dash warning light was showing for the ABS which I hadn’t seen.
After investigations, Tom phoned me to break the news that my car required a new ABS unit at a cost of approximately £1,800! I was so shocked and upset by this and couldn’t think how I was going to pay a bill which was originally just the MOT fee, but was now going to be over £2,000!.
Tom was very kind and understanding and suggested he might be able to arrange a small reduction in cost. After a while he phoned me back to tell me he had made some phone calls and VW had agreed on a goodwill gesture along with your dealership, which cut the cost by half!.
I would like to say how grateful I am for this and also the excellent customer service given by Tom which was outstanding. Tom arranged a courtesy car for the duration of the repair time and phoned to keep me informed of the progress of the ordered parts and when the car was ready for collection.
Please pass on a big “Thank You” to Tom and to all the team at Listers.
